Description:
Bachelor of Science in anesthesia is one of the disciplines in medical sciences in which the students train in principles and methods of anesthesia, the related equipment and medication. The students also learn about taking care of patients under local and general anesthesia pre, peri, and postoperatively. Furthermore, acquiring the methods and principles of acute pain management services emergencies is within the curriculum. The graduates can work in teaching hospitals under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. The mission of the program is to train graduates who can take care of patients (under the supervision of an anesthetist) in post anesthesia care units (PACU), provide acute pain management services (APMS) and help in cardiopulmonary and cerebral resuscitation (CPCR). The vision of the program is to provide active learning, innovation, acquisition of new clinical knowledge and skills, and optimum patient care so that the program will be the best and with the highest standards in the region (Middle East).
Objective:
Familiarity with care techniques and principles of acute pain control together with critical situations and medical emergency measures are also among students’ training courses.

- Studying the patients’ records, their history of disease and informing the anesthesiologist
- Performing antiseptic measures, sterilization, cleansing and maintenance of the required instruments
- Taking care of, accompanying, and transferring the patients to the operation room
- Monitoring the anesthesia equipment and preparing the required tools and medication
- Cooperating with the doctor in monitoring the patients and recording the patients’ vital signs
- Cooperating with the doctor in placing the patient in proper position for operation
- Cooperating with the anesthetist in anesthesia induction, local anesthesia and other therapeutic measures
- Cooperating with the anesthetist in bringing back patients to consciousness
- Monitoring the patients in PACU

Due to an increase in the population and the quality of medical health care and treatment, the necessity and need for non-pharmacological treatment was felt. According to World Health Organization (WHO) about 10% of people in each country have a certain type of disability spreading across vast population and a lack of professional physical therapists is obvious. Therefore, a bachelor degree in physical therapy was created in the universities. These course syllabi and its description is created after thorough evaluation of courses in accredited universities across 35 countries and studying recommendations of well-known specialists and thinkers.
Definition
Physical therapy is a branch of Rehabilitation sciences, whose graduates, try to assess and diagnose the disabilities with effective patient communication. In addition, with the application of physical modalities such as light, electricity, heat, etc. and mechanical elements such as exercises and different therapeutic movements to solve their problems

Ph.D. of Anatomy is a postgraduate advance training in the anatomical sciences. Applied cell sciences department seeks a leadership role in applied cell sciences, in stem cell therapy and regenerative medicine, through developing innovative, multidisciplinary collaborative approaches. It is an emerging field that aims at the regeneration of natural tissues using biological cells, biomaterials, biotechnology, and clinical medicine.
Training future leaders for education, research and clinical studies using cells specially stem cells is our main goal. Our mission is to accelerate the promise of regenerative medicine by exploring the body’s natural ability to heal itself, which does not seem a very far-fetched idea and we presume a leading role for ourselves in the region in the coming decades.

Program Description:
The PhD in Audiology prepares scholars for careers in basic and applied research in educational, industrial or health care environments. The program emphasis is on auditory and vestibular nervous system and their relation to cognition, hearing and balance pathological conditions, and auditory/vestibular rehabilitation. It is a full-time 4-year (maximally 4.5 years) residential program and includes course works, written comprehensive exam and thesis. The course works consist of 20 core credits and 8 non-core credits. The students have to pass 4 credits of the non-core credits according to her/his thesis and supervisor view. Core courses are Neuroscience I (General), Neuroscience II (Cognition Development), Neuroscience III (Auditory and Vestibular Systems), Advanced Psycholinguistics, Seminars in Audiology, Language and Cognition, Principles of Experimental Research, and Advanced Research Methods, and non-core courses are Modern Vestibular System Assessment, Modern Auditory Electrophysiological Methods, Principles & Methods of Auditory and Vestibular Imaging, and Statistical Softwares. The thesis is 24 credits. The students have to determine their thesis subjects maximally up to a semester after passing the comprehensive exam, with the supervisory agreement and educational council.

The field of Medical Robotics is a branch of the Biomedical Engineering on the application of Robotic Sciences and Mechatronics in Medicine. In the last ten years this field, as an interdisciplinary program, has progressed impressively in human health systems by top universities all around the world.
Training medical robotic experts would certainly affect the healthcare system by implementing new ideas and techniques in clinical diagnosis and therapeutic systems.
As a branch of Biomedical Engineering, Medical Robotics is the integration of basic sciences, engineering and medicine, which applies engineering technology in medicine to promote medical services according to scientific principles. In other words, Medical Robotics is specifically the application of Robotics Science and Mechatronics in medicine in both clinical diagnosis and therapy, using robotic devices.
Objectives:
The Objective of the PhD program in Biomedical Engineering (Medical Robotics) is to educate new multidisciplinary researchers to meet the growing engineering and medical demands for advanced education and research in robotics concerning the design of new robotic devices and systems applicable in community health.

This discipline plays a significant role in different areas such as Biomedical Instrumentation, Modeling and Control of Biologic Systems, Processing of Biologic Signals and Medical Images, Robotics in Medical Design, Neural Networks, Modeling of the Human Brain Structure and Functions, Rehabilitation Engineering and Artificial Organs.

Program Description:
The Ph.D. program is designed to train biostatisticians who can develop innovative methods that can be utilized to solve problems in public health and biomedical sciences. In addition, graduates of the Ph.D. program will be prepared to apply statistical and epidemiological methods for the design and analysis of public health and biomedical research investigations. Finally, graduates of the Ph.D. program will be well suited to function as collaborators or team leaders on research projects in the biomedical and public health sciences.
The program requires competency in the theory of statistics and probability, in introductory and advanced statistical methods and theory, and in fundamentals of epidemiologic study design. Graduates of the doctoral program will have written a doctoral dissertation which focuses on the development of a new methodology or on the innovative application of statistical methods to a health research problem. Such innovation or development in statistical methodology is part of the student’s dissertation is expected and must entail a publication in a reputable scientific journal.
Objectives:
- The ability to develop careers in academia, research institutes, government, and industry.
- A broad understanding of current statistical methods and practices in the health issues.
- A solid theoretical training necessary for the development and study of new statistical methods.
- The ability to assume all responsibilities of a statistician in collaborative health science research; in particular, the graduate will have experience in the design, data management, analysis, and interpretation of a variety of experimental and observational studies.
- Experience in writing reports and giving oral presentations describing health science studies.

Our graduates are currently working as academic researchers in departments of Psychology and Psychiatry, practicing clinical psychology in academic medical settings, tertiary psychiatric centers, community mental health centers, and private practice.
Our main aim is to set the standard for Excellence in Clinical Psychology through the integration of clinical practice, research and teaching. The graduates will be well equipped with a large variety of training and research resources. They acquire a good knowledge of theories, research methods, history of clinical psychology, and capability in assessing and interpreting clinical psychology tests. The major goals of the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology are first, to extend knowledge of the field of Clinical Psychology; second, to train students to conduct and evaluate empirical research; and finally, to train students to acquire competence in clinical assessment, interviewing and intervention.
